Happy Monday, everyone! And welcome to our Monday morning spotlight. Today we're focusing on one of our newest additions - Bay Rum.
For this bar of soap, we put a small spin on the usual Bay Rum scent.
We used bay laurel, orange, and clove essential oils to bring together a wonderful combination of sweetness, citrus, and spice.
Commonly Bay Rum fragrance is made using the West Indies Bay, but we used Bay Laurel in ours. Although both share many similar properties, they're also very different plants.
Bay laurel is a sweet smelling essential oil with just a hint of spice.
We then use orange essential oil - not sweet orange - to bring out a more citrusy scent. The scent of orange can also be very calming and relaxing.
Clove essential oil then adds another fragrant and spicy layer to this soap.
We also included a bit of Brazilian pink clay to add a touch of texture and pop color to the soap. It is also known to help with detoxify the skin.
